The dinner last night for the MBA program was actually a lot of fun. I did end up meeting a good number of really cool people, including a few Aggies, who I told that we weren't "going to the dark side", we were taking over UT from the inside! I alos managed to remember everyone's name. I've always wanted to be THAT GUY, the one who knows everyone's name and asks how their mom in Amarillo is doing and if their 89 Buick Skylark is still giving them problems and, hey, is your new puppy, Benji, still chewing up the sofa, etc... Unfortunately, I often find myself talking about- well, myself. I mean, I DO have a blog. So I made a concious effort to remember everyone at my table.

Jazz and Brittin are both Ags and faily outgoing. He is the only Kenesiology major in the program, she is a teacher who was actually shorter than Ashley. Ashley sat next to her. Wyatt and his wife who never introduced herself are your typical outgoing Mormon couple with a 9 month old baby. Cedric and Anne are from France, and are expecting in two weeks. Cedric, like my Frenchy, my brother in law, is very against the French law requiring workers to work no more than 35 hours/week. How many French conservatives are there in Houston?!

Scott and Molly we met before. He is very gregarious, but usually quiet, she is a very reserved, sweet Christian girl who is a teacher and who got more and more talkative as she drank more and more. We ended up at The Social on Washington with them and another couple and I had to laugh when Molly started bumming cigaretts off of random girls and appologizing to us for smoking!

I haven't opened my box of books yet, but I'm remarkably excited about them. I really can't wait to flip through them.

I am going over to my parents house today to help them move out of my childhood home. They closed on their new house yesterday and went to drop off a few things, only to find the house occupied, with the former owners and their belongings. Apparently they didn't understand that they had to MOVE OUT! My parents have closed on their onw home and have movers coming today so they can't wait. This should be very interesting....
